1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply when you buy a digital product from Applied Corporate Governance (“ACG”, “we”, “us”). ACG is the trading name of Tangley International Ltd, registered in England under company number 03155735, at 50 Princes Street, Ipswich, England, IP1 1RJ. You can contact us at admin@applied-corporate-governance.com.
They cover our downloadable products: the NED Readiness Report, the NED Starter Pack, the Director Duties Around the World guide, and any other guide or case study we sell. By ticking the box at checkout, you agree to them. Please read section 4 in particular, as it explains how your right to cancel works.
2. Products, prices and payment
Each product page describes what is included. Prices are shown in pounds sterling at checkout, including any VAT that applies where you are based. Payment is taken by our payment provider, Stripe, at the time of purchase; we never see or store your card details.
Your contract with us is formed when your payment is confirmed. We will email you a receipt, and access to your product follows immediately (see section 3).
3. Access, your account and updates
Your products are available in the ACG customer portal, linked from your purchase confirmation email. You sign in with the email address you used at checkout, by email link or Google or Apple sign-in. Your personalised report is added to the same account once it has been generated, usually within a few minutes.
We update our guides and case studies from time to time. While we offer the portal, it always gives you the latest version of each product you own, at no extra cost. Your account is personal to you; please don’t share your sign-in.
4. Immediate access and your right to cancel
If you are buying as a consumer in the UK or EU, you would normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase. For digital content, that right ends once access begins, if you have asked for immediate access and accepted that you will lose it.
When you buy from us, you ask for immediate access to your product, and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once access is provided. You confirm this by ticking the box at checkout. We then confirm it in writing in your purchase confirmation email.
5. Refunds and faulty content
Because access is immediate and the files can be downloaded straight away, we do not offer refunds for a change of mind.
This does not affect your legal rights. If a file is faulty, will not open, or is not as described, tell us at admin@applied-corporate-governance.com within a reasonable time. We will fix or replace it, and if we cannot, we will give you a full or partial refund.
6. What you may do with our products
We own the copyright in all our products. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read, download and print them for your own professional development, including taking them into your own board work.
You may not share, resell, republish or upload them for others to use, or use them to train AI systems. If you would like to use our material with a board, a team or a training programme, contact us about a licence.
7. Your personalised report and the nature of our content
The NED Readiness Report is generated from your quiz answers with the help of AI, using frameworks written by ACG. It is a development tool based on what you told us. It is not an assessment of your fitness for any particular role.
All our products are general educational material on corporate governance. They are not legal, financial or regulatory advice for your specific situation, and laws change. Take professional advice before acting on a specific board decision.
8. Liability, law and contact
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We are not responsible for business losses, or for decisions you make based on our general content. Nothing here limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your home country and may bring a claim there.
We may update these terms; the version you accepted at checkout applies to your purchase. Questions or complaints: admin@applied-corporate-governance.com. How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
